Our place is located in Manipal, right across from Madava Park. If you know the area, it’s a pretty busy spot with a lot of students and people walking through the park. We’ve been here at this location for a bit, and it’s mostly a spot for a quick meal or a coffee. The vibe in Manipal is always moving, so we try to keep up with that. It’s not a very big space, so it can feel a bit cramped when the lunch rush hits. We have some tables inside and it gets quite lively with all the chatter. We don’t do anything too complicated with the menu. It’s just straightforward food that fills you up. Sometimes the music is a bit loud because that’s what the younger crowd seems to like. We handle most things ourselves, and you’ll often see us running around between the kitchen and the counter. The walls have some posters on them, and we try to keep it looking decent, but it’s definitely a lived-in space. It’s a handy place to meet up with friends before heading somewhere else. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice for us. It’s just a regular part of the street here in Udupi, nothing more and nothing less. We’re just here doing our thing every day, keeping the place open for whoever happens to walk by.
