Sarovara Family Restaurant

We are situated over at Karaavali Hotels in Ambalapadi, right here in Udupi. This part of town is a bit more relaxed than the main city center, which we like. Being a family restaurant means we see a lot of kids and grandparents coming in together, especially on Sundays. We’ve been part of the neighborhood for years, and most of the people who eat here are our neighbors. The place isn't anything too fancy—just tables, chairs, and a kitchen that stays busy from morning till night. We don't have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to look professional. We just wear our uniforms, keep the floor swept, and make sure the water is cold. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish if the market didn't have the ingredients that morning, but we just tell folks and they usually understand. It’s a very local vibe here. You’ll hear a lot of chatting and the sound of plates clinking. We don't try to be something we’re not. We just want to provide a decent meal for the families who live around Ambalapadi. It gets a bit noisy when it's full, but that's a good sign I guess. We're just here every day, making sure the lights are on and the food is ready for whoever comes through the door.
