Remix Lounge

If you’re walking down Perampalli Road in Manipal, you’ll find us over at 7th Heaven. We are pretty close to Shambhavi Circle, which is always a busy spot with all the students and locals moving around. Remix Lounge is basically just a place to hang out when the day is done. We keep the lights a bit low and the music going. It gets quite lively on the weekends, as you can imagine being in a university town like Udupi. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the night before and getting the bar ready for the next shift. The building itself is easy to spot. It’s not a very formal place, so you’ll see people in jeans and t-shirts mostly. We have some regular staff who have been here for a bit, and we all just try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. Sometimes the rain in Manipal is heavy, so people duck in here to stay dry. It’s got a bit of a local feel, nothing too polished or expensive looking. We just wanted a spot where the music sounds okay and you can sit with your friends for a few hours. The area around Shambhavi Circle is always changing, but we’ve stayed right here. It’s a simple business, really. We open the doors, turn on the sound system, and see who walks in.
