Lx Brasserie

The place is right inside the Sri Ramakrishna Hotel on Geethanjali Road. If you know Udupi, you know how busy it gets around Geethanjali Talkies, especially when a big movie is playing. We have been here for a while now, just doing our thing every day. It is not some high-end spot with velvet chairs or anything like that. It is just a regular brasserie where people come to eat when they are in the area or staying at the hotel. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people walking by. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit hectic when the lunch crowd hits all at once, but we manage to get the plates out. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know the regulars who stop in after running errands. We keep the lights a certain way and try to make sure the tables are wiped down quick. It feels like a part of the neighborhood because it is. You see the same faces every week. Nothing too complicated about how we run things. We just show up, open the doors, and start cooking. It gets hot in the afternoons but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have any big corporate plans or anything. It is just about keeping the place going and making sure there is enough food for whoever walks in. We enjoy the familiar routine of the morning prep and seeing the town wake up.
