Lakshmi Family Restaurant

You’ll find our restaurant right on the Main Road in Ajekar. We’re part of the Karkala area here in Udupi. It’s a place where families come to eat when they don’t feel like cooking at home. We’ve got plenty of space for kids and larger groups. The menu is just the normal things people around here like to eat. We don’t try to do anything too experimental. The building is a simple one, and we keep the doors open to let the air in. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of the country. We have a few regular staff members who have been with us for years. They know how things work and who the locals are. Sometimes we get travelers passing through on their way to other parts of Udupi, and they stop in for a quick meal. We try to keep the prices fair so that everyone can afford to come by once in a while. It’s a lot of work to keep a restaurant going, but it’s what we do. We start early in the morning to get the kitchen ready and stay open until the dinner rush is over. It’s just a plain, honest place to get some food. No decorations or fancy stuff, just tables, chairs, and a kitchen that stays busy all day long for everyone.
