Hideout Bar & Restaurant

Located in the Shenoy Building right by Syndicate Circle, we’ve been part of the Manipal scene for some time. If you’ve ever been to Udupi or lived in Manipal, you know that Syndicate Circle is basically the heart of everything. There’s always someone passing by, whether it’s students from the university or people heading to the hospital. Our place, Hideout Bar & Restaurant, is pretty simple. We have the usual tables and a bar area that gets quite full on Friday nights. It can get loud, and the music might not be everyone's favorite, but it's what we have playing. The building itself is older, so it has that lived-in feel that you don't get with the newer constructions. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the drinks are cold and the food comes out hot. Sometimes we might forget to refill a water pitcher right away when it’s busy, but we try our best to keep up. It’s a place where you can relax after a long day of classes or work. We don't put on any acts here. It’s just a local bar where the regulars know our names and we know theirs, which makes the long shifts feel a bit shorter. We hope the vibe feels right when you walk in, because we aren't trying to be anything too fancy.
