Woodland Veg Restaurant

You can find us right on the main airport highway in Udaipur. We are located in the Surajpole area, pretty much right across from the Fateh school. It’s a busy spot with all the cars and buses heading towards the airport. We run Woodland Veg Restaurant. It’s a simple vegetarian place. No meat is served here at all. We serve local food and some other common Indian dishes. The tables are basic and we don’t have fancy decorations on the walls. Most of our customers are locals or maybe travelers who are hungry on their way out of town. The kitchen stays quite busy during lunch and dinner hours. We make sure the water is cold and the food is hot when it comes out. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a velvet rug or soft lighting. It’s more for a quick meal that fills you up. Sometimes the noise from the highway is a bit loud, but inside it’s usually alright. We keep the place running with a small crew of cooks and servers. We've been here for a good while. People know us for the simple menu. There’s no complicated stuff. Just regular veg food like what you’d have at home but maybe a bit saltier or spicier. We open early enough for breakfast too. If you’re near Surajpole and looking for a meal, we’re just sitting there on the highway. It’s a plain, honest eating house for everyone.
