Asha Mahal Restaurant

The restaurant is right on Lake Palace Road, just across from where the gas garage sits. People usually find us easily because of that landmark. It’s been sitting here for quite a while now. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the sun is hitting the road hard and nobody wants to be out walking. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. There are tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend a lot of our time just getting things ready before the doors open. The 313001 area gets a bit busy with tourists and locals going to the palace, so there is always something to look at through the front window. It isn’t a fancy place with lots of decorations. It’s just a building where we cook and people come to eat when they are hungry. We have some regulars who stop by after work or when they are passing through the neighborhood. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but we are used to it by now. The kitchen gets hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name Asha Mahal on the front. Mostly, we just focus on the daily chores, cleaning up the floor and making sure there is enough tea. It’s a simple life here on the road.
