About Vardhman Marble Art & Handicraft – Art & Craft in Udaipur
We’ve been here at 59 Titardi, right near the choraha for a while now. Most folks know the spot because it’s just across from the post office in the first lane. Working with marble is what we do every day. It’s dusty work and takes a lot of time, but that’s just how it goes with stone. We handle different kinds of handicraft items too. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually find one of us around the shop or out back where the cutting happens. Things get busy sometimes, especially when a big order comes in, but we try to keep things moving. The marble comes in rough and we spend our days shaping it into whatever is needed. It’s not fancy here, just a regular workspace with tools and stone everywhere. If you’re looking for the post office, we’re right there on the opposite side. We mostly focus on the actual making part of the business. Some days are longer than others, especially in the heat. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot doing the same work. People stop by to ask about pieces or just to see what’s being carved that day. We don’t have a big front office, just the workshop and the stone. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the evening.
