Shri Anand Art Craft

Our workshop is over in Hiran Magri Sector 14. Shri Anand Art Craft is what we’ve called it for years. We make things by hand. It’s a lot of carving and painting, and the floor is usually covered in wood shavings or scraps of fabric. Sector 14 is a quiet enough place to work without too much distraction. We don’t have a big store with glass windows. It’s more of a place where we create. People who know about us usually just drop by the workshop. We have a few locals who help out when we have a big order. It’s not a factory; it’s just people sitting together and making art and crafts. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so everyone knows us. The tools we use are old but they still work fine. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. If we make something good, someone usually buys it. Sometimes we take things to the local markets. It’s a slow way to make a living, but we like being our own bosses. The heat in the summer can be tough in the workshop, but we have a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. We aren't trying to grow into a massive company. We just want to keep making our crafts here in Hiran Magri. It’s what our family has always done for generations now. It feels right to keep it going.
