You can find us over at 28 Moti Chohata, which is right near where the Rajasthan Bank used to be. Priya Handicrafts is our little corner of the world. Moti Chohata is one of those streets that never really sleeps; there is always someone moving something or a scooter honking. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things we’ve picked up over the months. Boxes come in, and we spend hours sorting through them, trying to find a spot on the shelf that isn't already full. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. The floor is old stone, and it stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don't have a big corporate setup, just a few family members helping out and a couple of guys who help move the heavier crates. We drink a lot of chai during the day and watch the world go by through the front door. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about the weather or the local news. We like it that way. It’s not just about selling things; it’s about being part of the street. We’ve had this spot for a long time, and we know every crack in the sidewalk out front. When the festival season starts, the whole street gets decorated, and we stay open much later than usual. It’s tiring but it is just how life is here.
