Tulsi Art & Handicraft

Tulsi Art & Handicraft is over on the Udaipole Sajjan Ghar Road in the Malatali area. It is a bit of a distance from the main tourist spots by the lake, which suits us just fine. It is a bit more industrial or workshop-heavy around here. We have a good amount of space to spread out our work, which is lucky. At the shop, we have all sorts of handicrafts that we have put together. Some days are very slow and we just sit around and talk about the news or the weather. Other days, we are rushing to finish things up. The road outside can get quite dusty with the trucks going past, so we are always wiping down the surfaces. It is not a glamorous job, but it is honest work. We have got a couple of old workbenches that have been with us since we started. They are scratched and stained with paint and polish, but they work better than anything new we could buy. Most of our customers are locals or people who have been told specifically where to find us. We do not have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. It is just a regular door that stays open most of the day. We like the quiet rhythm of this neighborhood. It allows us to focus on the work without too many distractions from the outside world.
