The Whistling Teal

We have been at Plot No-103 in Udaipur for a while now. Most people find us over in the Bhatiayani Chohta area near the main post office. It gets pretty busy around here during the tourist season but we just keep doing our thing every day. The building is an old one, which has its own set of quirks. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running and making sure there is enough tea and food for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy with all the traffic and people moving around, but that is just part of being in this part of town. Our staff mostly live nearby, so we are all locals. We do not really do anything fancy or try to be something we are not. It is just a spot where you can sit down for a bit. We have got the usual stuff you would expect. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we manage. Most days involve a lot of cleaning, prep work in the kitchen, and chatting with regulars who stop by on their way home. It is a simple life here in Rajasthan. If you are walking around Udaipur Ho and see our sign, that is us. We are not hidden or anything, just tucked into the street. It has been a long road getting everything set up, and we are just glad to be open and working.
