Suryamahal Restaurant

Suryamahal Restaurant is located in the Udaipole area of Udaipur, specifically near Haridasji Ki Magri and the Oberoi Udaivilas Hotel. It is a part of town that sees a lot of visitors because of the big hotels nearby. We are just a regular place where people can come in to eat without much fuss. The building is situated in a way that we get a bit of the Udaipur sun throughout the day. We spend our time prepping vegetables in the morning and making sure the dining area is ready for the afternoon heat. It isn't a very large place, but we have enough tables for the people who stop by while exploring the city. The staff here is mostly local men who have grown up in Udaipur. They know the streets around Udaipole very well. We don't have any corporate manuals or scripted things to say; we just talk to people normally. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit backed up when it is busy, but we do what we can to keep things moving. The 313001 area is full of history, but we are just focused on the day-to-day work of running a restaurant. We sweep the floors, wash the dishes, and wait for the next group of people to walk through the door. It is a simple life and a simple business. We have been in this spot long enough that we don't feel the need to change much.
