Suresh Handicrafts

We have been here at Hathipole for quite a long time now. My shop, Suresh Handicrafts, is located in the Emerald Tower, right at number 32. It is easy to find if you know the area well. Most days start early for us because there is always something to unpack or move around. We deal with various items that people usually look for when they come to this part of town. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the tower but we manage. I spend a lot of time talking to people who walk in. It is not a very big space but it fits everything we need to show. The walls are mostly covered with pieces we have collected over the months. I usually sit near the front desk. My family has been doing this kind of work for years. We do not do anything fancy with advertising. People just see the sign and come in. Hathipole is a busy place so there is always noise from the street. It feels good to be part of the local market here. Sometimes we have old stock that stays for a while and other times things sell fast. I try to keep the shop organized but it is hard when new boxes arrive every week. If you are passing by the Emerald Tower, you can just look for our unit. It is a simple place where we do our daily work and wait for the next person to walk through the door.
