Sur Sagar Bar

Being right inside The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace gives this place a bit of a different feel, but we try to keep things relaxed for everyone. We are situated opposite Fateh Sagar Lake, which is honestly one of the best spots in all of Udaipur. You can see the water from nearby, and in the evenings, there is usually a nice breeze coming off the lake. This is a bar where people come to sit after a long day of looking at the palaces or walking around the city streets. We are in the Udaipur HO area, with the 313001 postcode. Even though it is a palace setting, the bar itself is just a place to have a drink and talk. We do not go for anything too loud or distracting. The staff here has been around for a long time, and we mostly just focus on keeping the bottles stocked and the glasses clean. You see a lot of travelers coming through because of the hotel, but local folks from Udaipur stop by too. The lake across the way is always busy with people taking their evening walks, but it stays fairly calm inside here. We have some decent seating and the lighting is kept low. It is just a straightforward bar in a very old, historic building. We do not have any big speeches to give. We just open up, serve the drinks, and watch the sun go down over the water.
