Sunrise Roof Top Restaurant

We are tucked away at 18, Gangaur Ghat Road in the Udaipur Ho area. Our restaurant is on the rooftop, which means you have to walk up several flights of stairs to reach us. The building is old and the stairs are quite narrow, so it takes some effort. We are located right behind the Jagdish Temple, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. Up on the roof, we have a few tables set out where people can sit and see the city. It gets very hot during the day, so we usually see more people coming in once the sun starts to go down. We spend a lot of our time carrying heavy crates of soda and food supplies up those stairs because there is no lift. The kitchen is a small space on one side of the roof. We serve mostly local food and some snacks. Sometimes the local monkeys come onto the roof looking for leftovers, so we have to be careful about that. It is a very old-fashioned way of running a business. We don't have any fancy uniforms or computer systems. We just write down the orders on a pad and do the math ourselves. The 313001 area is very crowded with tourists, but we mostly just focus on our little corner and the cooking. It is a simple life with a lot of climbing.
