Sip & Bite restaurant

Our place is at 6, Bhattyani Chohatta, which is right on the City Palace Road in Udaipur. If you are walking around the old part of the city, you will probably pass us. We are quite close to the Smile Merchant shop, which is a good landmark if you are getting lost in the narrow streets. Udaipur has those very specific winding roads and we are tucked into one of those spots. The building is old, like most things in this part of Rajasthan, and it has that 313001 pin code. We mostly see a mix of locals and some people visiting the palace. There is always some noise from the scooters zooming past outside. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, so you can watch people going about their business. The interior isn't anything too special, just some sturdy furniture and basic lighting that we put up ourselves. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We keep the place clean and tidy, wiping down the tables whenever someone leaves. It can get a bit hectic during the tourist season when the City Palace Road is packed with people. We just focus on keeping things moving. Most days are pretty similar, starting with the delivery of supplies and then waiting for the first few people to walk through the door. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here in the middle of Udaipur HO.
