Singhvi Marble Industries

Our yard, Singhvi Marble Industries, is out in the Amberi area, right on the NH-8. It's a bit further out in the central area, where there's plenty of space for the big blocks of stone we handle. Being on the highway is important because of the transport trucks. We have been working with marble for a long time. It’s what our family does. The work is physically demanding and the sun can be quite brutal out here in the open yard. We spend the days supervising the cutting and loading. There’s a lot of noise from the saws and the cranes, but you get used to it. We aren't much for decorations or fancy offices. We have a small cabin where we keep the books and take a break. Most of our day is spent out on the ground with the stones. We see all kinds of marble coming through, different colors and strengths. We try to be honest with people about which stone is good for what. If a batch has too many veins that might crack, we tell them. It's not about making a quick sale; it's about not having problems later. The traffic on NH-8 is always buzzing by, but inside the gate, we're just focused on the stone. It’s a simple, hardworking life. We don’t use big marketing words or anything. We just show the stone and let people decide. It has been our way for years.
