Shri Ganesh Bhojnalya

Our bhojnalya is right on Station Road in Udaipur, specifically the Udaipole area. We are very close to the main bus stand, which makes us a busy spot most of the time. When the buses come in, we get a rush of hungry people. It's a simple eating house with benches and tables. We don't have menus printed on fancy paper; we just tell you what we made for the day. The kitchen is always going from early morning. It gets quite hot in there, especially in the summer months. We've been at this location for a long time and the building shows its age a little. We don't mind that much as long as the food is ready on time. We aren't looking to be a tourist attraction, even though Udaipur has plenty of those. We just want to feed the travelers and the workers who need a meal. It's a bit loud with the buses honking outside, but that's part of being near the station. We keep things moving and try to make sure no one leaves hungry. It is hard work and the days are long. We don't have a big philosophy, we just cook what people like to eat. If you're getting off a bus and need a plate, we're right there. We stay until the last bus is gone and the kitchen is cleaned up.
