About Shree Charbhuja Exports – Art & Craft in Udaipur
We’ve been at 77 Sukher Hawa Magri along NH 8 for a while now. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks passing by on the highway. Our day usually starts pretty early, around seven or eight, depending on if there’s a shipment ready to go out. Shree Charbhuja Exports isn’t some big corporate setup with glass walls. It is mostly a dusty yard and a few sheds where we keep the stone. Most of what we do involves checking the quality of the slabs and making sure the crates are sturdy enough for long trips. The guys in the yard are hard workers, and they’ve been with us through many seasons. Sometimes the heat gets really bad in the afternoon, so we all sit under the shade for a bit and have some tea. It’s a practical way of working. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just look at the stone, measure it, and load it onto the trucks. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just find other things to do around the yard until it comes back on. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping track of paperwork. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the sound of the cranes. It’s just how things are run here. We try to keep things honest and get the work done without too much fuss or unnecessary talk.
