We’ve been at 3, Rao Ji Ka Hatta for quite a few years now. Our shop is tucked away in Mohali Chohatta, right near Lake Palace Road. If you find Kanod Ki Haveli, you’re basically there. We spend our days working on different arts and crafts projects. It’s mostly just a few of us here. The place is often a bit of a mess with wood shavings, paint jars, and bits of fabric all over the floor. We don’t really mind the clutter since it shows we’re actually making things. We get a mix of people coming in. Some are tourists looking for a small thing to take home, and others are locals who want something specific for their house. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. Everything is just sitting on the shelves or leaning against the walls. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought it would. We don't use any high-tech machines, just our hands and some basic tools. It can be a bit noisy when we’re carving or sanding stuff down. The street outside is always busy with people and scooters, especially since we’re so close to the lake. We usually open up the shutters around nine in the morning and stay until it gets dark. We don’t do any big marketing or anything. We just make the items and hope people like what they see. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’re used to the routine.
