S P Handicrafts is my shop over near the Udaipur Shastri Circle. Specifically, we are on the 80 Feet Road. If you go behind the Maszid, you will see us. It is a bit of a different vibe than the main tourist areas. This part of town is more about the locals and the big wide road. We have a lot of space compared to some of the shops in the old city. I keep a variety of handicrafts here. Most of the things come from villages nearby. I spend my mornings checking the new stock and making sure everything is where it should be. The masjid is a very quiet place so it is nice to be behind it. Sometimes the 80 Feet Road gets very loud with trucks and cars but our spot is a little tucked away. I have been working in handicrafts for a long time now. It is what I know. We do not have any marketing people or anything. I just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. Sometimes friends come by and we sit and talk for a while. The shop is simple with plain walls and wooden racks. It is not fancy but it has everything. We just do our business day by day and try to keep things moving. It is a decent place to work and meet people from the neighborhood.
