Royal Garden

We are located on the road that goes from Malla Talai towards Sisarama. It’s a bit of a winding path here in Udaipur. The address is 313001. We don’t have a big neon sign or anything like that. Just a simple board. Most of our customers are locals who live in the neighborhood. We have some outdoor seating because the weather in Udaipur is usually good for that. It’s a very basic setup. We have some plastic chairs and a few iron tables. I usually handle the cooking while my nephew takes the orders. We don't have a very long menu. We just make a few things but we try to make them properly. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the bikes go by. Other days, especially during festival times, it gets very crowded. We’ve had this spot for a long time. The kitchen is small and it gets quite hot in the summer. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks. Word of mouth is how people find us. It’s a humble place. We don’t pretend to be anything we’re not. Just a local garden spot where you can get a plate of food and a glass of water. It’s how we’ve always done it. We keep the gate open from noon until the food runs out at night. It’s just our way of living.
