Peacock Restaurant

Our restaurant is located on Garden Road inside the Hotel Vishnupriya. We are very close to Gulab Bagh, which is one of the nicer areas to walk around in this city. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while now. It’s a bit different being part of a hotel building. We see a lot of travelers who are staying upstairs, but local people also find their way to us. The road outside can get a bit noisy with tourists, but it stays relatively calm compared to the city center. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us how to look polished. It’s just us in the kitchen and at the tables. The decor is simple and we haven't changed much over the years. We like the way things are. Every morning we check the supplies and get the stove going. Some days are very slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Garden Road. Other days, we can barely keep up with the orders. We don't promise anything grand. It’s just a place to sit and have a meal when you're in the area. We’ve got some regular customers who have been coming since we first opened. It’s nice to see familiar faces. We just keep the doors open and see who walks in. It’s a steady way to live.
