Payal Arts

Payal Arts is situated at 49 University Road, right inside the Anand Plaza building. It is a very busy building with many other small shops and businesses all around us. We have been at this particular spot for quite some time now. The plaza sees a lot of foot traffic every day because the university is so close by. You get a lot of students and local residents coming through the halls. Our own space is usually filled up with art supplies and whatever projects we happen to be working on at the moment. It is often a bit of a mess with paint or scraps of paper lying around, but that is just the way we like to work. We are not a big corporate art store. We are just a local shop where things actually get made. The light that comes through our window is really nice in the mornings. We don't use any fancy sales pitches or marketing tricks to get people inside. If people like what they see in the window, they usually come in. It is a bit noisy with all the traffic on University Road, but we don't really mind it much anymore. We know the other shop owners in Anand Plaza pretty well, and it is a friendly place. We just focus on our own work and try to keep things moving along. There is no big mission statement here. We just show up and do our thing.
