You can find us at number 27 in Pipleshwar Mahadev Ji Ki Gali. It’s a little lane in the Naiyo Ki Talai area. It’s one of those old parts of the city where the streets are very narrow. You can’t really drive a big car down here. We are right near the temple, so we hear the bells and the prayers every day. It’s a nice sound to work to. We make handicrafts here. It’s a lot of hand work, using tools that have been around for a long time. We don't use big machines or anything like that. It’s just us sitting on the floor or at small benches, carving and shaping things. The air in Naiyo Ki Talai is always full of the smells of cooking and incense. We don't have a fancy store front. It’s more of a workshop where people can come in and see what we are making. Sometimes the light in the gali isn't very good, so we have to move our work closer to the door. We aren’t a big factory. It’s just a few of us who enjoy making things with our hands. People who find their way to 27 Pipleshwar Mahadev Ji Ki Gali are usually looking for something specific that isn't made in a factory. We just do our work and hope people like what we make. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life.
