Moti Mahal Itihaas Restaurant

Moti Mahal Itihaas Restaurant is up on the 3rd floor of Lake City Mall in the Ashok Nagar area of Udaipur. Being in a mall is a bit different than being on a street corner. We have to follow the mall's timing and rules. It’s located near the Ayad Bridge, which is a busy part of town. The mall gets really crowded on weekends with families and kids running around. We’ve been here for some time now. The restaurant has a bit of a view if you look out the right way. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the floors are swept because the mall management is strict about that. The kitchen is tucked away in the back, and that’s where most of the actual work happens. We have a team of cooks who have been with us since we opened this branch. It’s a bit of a climb for people if the elevators are busy, but once they get to the third floor, it’s a nice enough place to sit. We don't use any flashy advertisements. Most people just stumble upon us while they’re out shopping or going to the movies. We have the usual ups and downs of a mall business. Some days the footfall is great, other days it’s just us and the mall security guards. We just keep the kitchen running and wait for the rush.
