Mewar Handicraft

Mewar Handicraft is located at 17, Dholi Bavdi Gulmohar Ka Chowk. This is inside the Delhi Gate area, which is always full of energy and people. Our shop sits right on the corner where you can see everyone passing through the chowk. It’s a busy location, and there is never a dull moment. The building at number 17 is old, with thick walls that keep it a little cooler during the hot months. We’ve got our stuff spread out across the floor and on the wooden shelves we put up ourselves. Being inside Delhi Gate means we are right in the heart of things. You hear the bells from the nearby temples and the constant honking of rickshaws. We don’t really bother with making the place look like a mall store; it’s more of a working warehouse where we keep our inventory. The morning starts with sweeping the front and getting the first pot of tea ready. Gulmohar Ka Chowk is a good spot because everyone eventually walks through it. We see a lot of tourists and locals alike. The space is a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-run kind of place, and we don't have many employees, just a few of us who have been here forever. It’s just a normal day of work at Dholi Bavdi. We keep the doors open and hope for a breeze.
