Mahi Restaurant And Tiffin Center

You can find us on Airport Road in the Pratap Nagar area of Udaipur. We are located right opposite Vidhya Peeth College, and we’re also quite near the old RTO. Because of where we are, a lot of our customers are students who are looking for a meal that doesn't cost too much. We run a restaurant but also a tiffin center, so our mornings are usually spent packing dozens of stainless steel boxes. It’s a lot of work, and my hands are usually covered in flour from making rotis by six in the morning. We don’t have fancy menus or air conditioning. It’s just a simple room with some fans and a few tables. The food is the same kind of stuff we eat ourselves at home. We don’t use too much oil or any of those bright food colors you see in big restaurants. It’s just honest, simple food for people who are away from home. We’ve been in this spot in Pratap Nagar for a long time, and we know most of the shopkeepers around here. Sometimes we run out of food before the day is over, especially if the college has a big event. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here because of the smell of fresh rotis in the morning. It’s a modest life, but we like it.
