Khushnuma Restaurant

Our restaurant is located in Gurumukh Bhawan on City Station Road in Udaipur. We are very close to the City Railway Station, so we see a lot of people who have just arrived in town or are waiting for their train to leave for another city. Udaipur is a beautiful place, but the area around the station is always a bit dusty and busy with the traffic. We try to keep our place at 313001 a bit of a haven from that. It’s a basic setup where you can get a hot meal and a glass of water without paying those high tourist prices you find near the lakes. We’ve had travelers from all over the country sit at our tables. Some stay for a long time to rest their legs, and others just grab a quick bite and head out to find their hotel. The building, Gurumukh Bhawan, is an older one, so it has a bit of character to it, even if the paint is peeling in some spots. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work every morning. The menu is mostly local stuff that we grew up eating ourselves in our own homes. We don't try to do anything too complicated or modern. Sometimes the train schedules change and we get a sudden rush of people at odd hours, but we are used to that by now. It’s a simple life running a restaurant near the station.
