Kankarwa Haveli

Kankarwa Haveli sits right on 26 Lal Ghat Marg in the Lal Ghat area. The pincode is 313001. This is an old building and we’ve tried to keep it that way without changing too much. It’s tucked away in the narrow streets where you can hear the water nearby. Running a place like this takes a lot of work because old walls always need something fixed. We aren't a big hotel chain. It's just a family-run haveli where we live and work every day. People come here because they like the feel of the old city. We spend our mornings checking the rooms and making sure everything is okay on the Marg. It can get a bit crowded in these lanes, but that’s just how Lal Ghat is. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just open our doors and hope people find it comfortable. Sometimes the stairs are a bit steep or the rooms have odd shapes, but that’s because it’s a real haveli. We don't have a corporate office or anything. It’s just us here at number 26. Most of the time, we are just busy with the laundry or talking to the neighbors. It’s a simple life in a very old part of town. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the place going as well as we can.
