Kanika Restaurants

Kanika Restaurants sits right on City Station Road in Udaipur. It’s a hectic part of town because of the trains and the people always rushing to the station. Being opposite the Bank of Maharashtra means we get a lot of people stopping in after they finish their bank chores. Udaipole is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. We open the doors early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Udaipur gets quite hot later on, so we try to get most of the heavy prep done before noon. The staff here is small, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People just find us because we’re near the station. Sometimes the floors get dusty because of the road construction or the wind, but we keep sweeping them. We serve what we have on the menu that day. If the market didn't have good vegetables, we might change things up last minute. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We know the regular shopkeepers nearby and the guys who work at the bank. Life in 313001 is fast, but inside here, things feel a bit more familiar. We just want to make sure the food is ready when the travelers show up looking for a meal. It is a simple job, but it keeps us all very busy every day. That is how we get by.
