Ganesham Art & Craft

Down at 10 Chandpole, right by Jethiyo Ka Akhara, you’ll find our shop, Ganesham Art & Craft. It’s an old part of town, and the streets can be quite narrow and crowded, especially during festivals. The building we’re in has been around forever, and the floors are a bit uneven, but it holds everything we need. We spend our days surrounded by different crafts and art pieces, some finished and some just half-done. There’s always a bit of clutter because we’re constantly moving things around to make room for new projects. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s more of a place where things actually get made. You might hear some hammering or the sound of someone carving if you stop by in the afternoon. We don’t use any big machines, just our hands and some old tools that have been passed down. Usually, one of us is sitting near the entrance keeping an eye on the street. The light inside isn’t always great, but we’ve gotten used to working in the shadows. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly find us because they’re walking through Chandpole or they’ve heard about us from a neighbor. We just keep the door open and keep working on whatever is on the bench that day. It’s a slow pace, but it suits us and the way we like to live.
