J M Hollow Block

J M Hollow Block is located at 12/27 Panimatha Nagar in T Kallikulam. It’s a quiet area for the most part, which is nice for working. We have a decent sized yard where we set the blocks out to dry under the sun. Making hollow blocks is something I got into because there was a need for it here. Before, people had to bring them from far away, which cost a lot for transport. Now, they just come to us. We use local sand and cement. The work is physically demanding, especially in the heat, but we have a good routine down. I usually start the day early before it gets too hot. My workers are local men from around the village. We don’t have any big corporate plans or anything. We just want to make enough blocks to keep the local builders happy. Sometimes we run out of stock if there’s a big project nearby, so we have to work extra hours to catch up. The address is easy to find if you know Panimatha Nagar. We’re just a regular small business. Nothing too special about it, just honest labor and heavy lifting. We keep the yard as tidy as you can keep a place that works with wet concrete. If you need blocks for a wall or a house, we’re usually around. That’s how it’s been for years and we don't plan on changing much.
