Kalaikannan Hollow Blocks

Kalaikannan Hollow Blocks is located over at 26/5, Panimatha Nagar. If you are in the neighborhood you have probably seen the stacks of blocks we have sitting out. The work here is pretty repetitive but it needs to be done. We spend the whole day mixing cement and sand to get the blocks just right. It’s a very dusty job and everything in the yard is usually covered in a thin layer of grey. Panimatha Nagar is where we’ve set up shop and it works out okay for us. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. Most people find out about us because they live nearby or they see our trucks. The space at 26/5 is a bit tight sometimes especially when we have a delivery coming in. You have to be good at maneuvering the vehicles. We just do the best we can with the space we have. The sun really beats down on the yard in the middle of the day. We try to take a break then because it gets to be too much. It’s an honest way to make a living and it keeps us out of trouble. There’s always more work to do and more blocks to stack. Sometimes the rain messes up our schedule and we have to wait for things to dry out. It’s just part of the routine here at the yard in Panimatha Nagar. We don't need things to be complicated.
