K.S Bricks

K.S Bricks is located right here in Edayarthavanai, on 2nd Street. We have been in this part of Surandai for a good bit of time. V.K. Puthur is where we grew up, so it made sense to set up the brick business here at No:2/1/143. Making bricks is hard work, mostly out in the sun all day. We deal with a lot of mud and heat. It is not a glamorous job, but houses need to be built. We see a lot of people from around the neighborhood coming by to check on their orders. The yard is usually full of stacks of bricks waiting to be moved. We have a small crew and we all know each other. Sometimes the rain slows us down, which can be frustrating when we have a lot to do. You just have to wait for things to dry out. We don’t spend much time in an office; most of our day is spent outside checking the kilns or talking to the drivers. It is a simple life. We like being part of the community in Surandai. When you drive down the street, you can't miss the piles of red bricks. We don't do much advertising because most folks just know where we are. We just focus on getting the bricks made and out the door. It is what we do every day, and we are used to the routine by now. We hope to stay here for many more years.
