We are over at Flat 6 in the Jyoti Society on Gokhale Road. If you know Naupada in Thane West, you know how the traffic gets on this stretch, especially during the evenings when everyone is heading home. It is a bit of an older building, but it works for us. Vijay Motwane And Associates has been based in this spot for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular flat converted into a workspace where we keep our files and desks. There is a small balcony where someone is usually having a tea break or looking at the cars moving slowly below. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the lift in the society is a bit temperamental, so most of us just take the stairs since we are on a lower floor anyway. It gets quite noisy with the horns and the local market nearby, but you get used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We don't have a big reception area or a sign that lights up, just a small plate on the door. Most days are spent sitting around the main table going through papers or answering the phone when it decides to ring. It is just a local place where we show up every morning, get the fans going, and try to get through the pile of work on our desks before the sun goes down and the Thane commute starts all over again.
