If you go down Saibaba Mandir Lane in Vaity Wadi, you’ll find our office. Beinked Architect & Design Consultant Pvt. Ltd is based right there in Thane. It’s a busy part of Maharashtra, and the lane can get pretty crowded with people and scooters. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in sketches, rulers, and old coffee mugs. We aren't the type of architects who sit in glass towers. We’re usually arguing about where a wall should go or why a pipe is in the wrong place. The walls of the office are covered in bits of paper and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but that’s how we work. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors or sitting in traffic trying to get to a site in another part of Thane. The 400 604 area is where we do most of our running around. We don't really have a big philosophy about design. We just try to make sure the buildings don't fall down and that people have enough room to move around. It’s a lot of late nights and staring at computer screens until our eyes hurt. Clients come in and out, and we try to explain things in plain English without using too many big words. It’s just us trying to get the drawings right so the builders can do their jobs properly.
