Vidhata Food Products

Vidhata Food Products is located at 19/21 on Udhna Karve Road. It’s a busy street with lots of shops and people moving about. Our space is mostly filled with the things we make and the bags we use to pack them. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a new shipment arrives. We have to move the pallets around to make space. The walls are lined with shelves that are usually full by Tuesday. We’ve been working out of this Udhna Karve Road location for a good while now. Most of the people who work here have been with us since the beginning. We don't really use a lot of fancy machinery; it’s mostly just us doing the work by hand. The name Vidhata is what’s painted on the front, though it’s faded a bit over the years. We don’t really spend much time thinking about how we look to the outside world. We just focus on the food products and making sure they get to where they need to go. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a lamp that flickers. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It’s a simple business, nothing too complicated. We just like the routine of it and being part of the local scene here in this part of town. We usually lock up around seven and walk to the station together, just talking about whatever happened during the shift.
