Foodiecart.In is based out of Ajanta Shopping Center on Ring Road in Surat. We’ve been operating from this spot near the Kinnary Multiplex for a while now. Since we do food delivery, we don’t have a big dining room for people to sit in. It’s mostly just us handling orders and getting drivers out the door. The Ring Road is always packed with traffic, which keeps us on our toes. We spend most of our time looking at screens and talking to the kitchen staff. It gets pretty hectic around dinner time when the movie theater nearby lets out. We started this because we saw how many people wanted food brought to them instead of going out. The office is small and usually filled with boxes and delivery bags. It’s not the most glamorous setup, but it works for what we do. We’ve got a system down, though things still go sideways sometimes when it rains or the traffic is worse than usual. We try to keep the drivers moving as fast as is safe. Most of our day is spent coordinating between the cooks and the guys on bikes. It’s a lot of shouting back and forth and making sure addresses are written down right. We’ve been in this part of Surat long enough to know all the shortcuts. The rent here at the shopping center is manageable, and being near the multiplex helps with finding us. We just keep our heads down and get the boxes packed.
