We are based out of Shree Apts, unit 1006, right near Makki Pul in the Nanpura area of Surat. Being in the food business means early mornings and lots of checking on supplies. The kitchen gets hot, especially during the summer months here. We handle a lot of different food items under the Sugar N Spice name. It is a busy spot. Nanpura has a lot of history and the streets can get quite tight with all the rickshaws and bikes going past. We spend most of our time making sure the orders are packed right and the ingredients are fresh. It is a lot of logistics, honestly. Not everything goes perfectly every day. Sometimes a delivery is late or a machine needs fixing. We just deal with it as it happens. Our office in the apartments is where we do the paperwork and keep track of everything. It is not a showroom. It is where the actual work of running a food company happens. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years. People in Surat love their food, so there is always something to do. We do not spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the food and the boxes. If you walk by Makki Pul, you are close to us. It is a local operation, keeping things moving one day at a time. We have a lot of containers and bags stacked up most of the time. It is just honest work.
