If you walk into Mahavir Shopping Centre on Judges Bunglow Road in Amroli, you’ll find us. Shantinath Vasan Bhandar is basically a place packed with all the kitchen stuff you can think of. We have stacks of stainless steel plates, brass pots, and all kinds of spoons and containers. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop because I like to keep a lot of stock on hand. You never know when someone will come in looking for a specific size of pressure cooker or a traditional set of bowls for a wedding gift. I spend most of my day dusting the shelves and helping people find what they need. Some customers have been coming to me since I first opened up in this shopping center. They like to touch the metal and see how heavy the pots are before they buy them. I think that’s important. We don’t do any of that fancy online shopping stuff. You come in, you see what we have, and we talk about it. The noise from Amroli road is always in the background, but inside it’s just the sound of metal clinking together. I try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s a simple life, selling pots and pans, but it’s what I’ve been doing for years. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but I usually know where everything is tucked away. It’s just a local shop for local people.
