Joshi Khaman & Dinner

Our shop is number 14 in the Nakshtra Apartment building on Pal Road. It is right near the CNG pump in Adajan Dn, so we see a lot of people stopping by while they are out running errands. Surat is a city that loves its food, and we have been part of this neighborhood for a while now. We serve khaman in the mornings and then transition into dinner items later in the day. It is a small space, nothing too big or flashy. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years. They know how the regulars like their food. We don't have a big corporate team, just us making sure the kitchen is running and the tables are wiped down. Sometimes the apartment complex gets a bit noisy, but that is just part of being in this area. We get our ingredients from the local markets around Surat every few days to keep things moving. There is no special story about how we started, we just needed a way to make a living and we knew how to cook. The Pal Road area has changed a lot since we first opened, with more buildings going up, but we are still here in the same spot. If you are driving past the pump, you can see us. We stay open pretty late to catch the dinner crowd coming home from work. It is a lot of standing and cooking, but we enjoy seeing the familiar faces.
