Our office is located at 3515 in Maherbaug. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but we’ve been here for quite some time now. Shah Hitendra D Rice is mostly about the administrative side of the grain business. We spend a lot of our time looking at ledgers, talking to suppliers, and making sure the orders are moving along like they should. Maherbaug is a familiar area for us, and the office is usually filled with the sound of calculators and the rustle of paper. We aren't a mill ourselves, but we are the ones making sure the rice gets from the producers to the people who need it. It’s a lot of coordination and keeping track of different grades and prices. We don't have any fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of files. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big season, but we know where everything is. We take our time with the work because mistakes in the grain trade can be a real headache to fix later on. Most of our clients have been working with us for years, so they know they can just call or stop by Maherbaug to talk. It’s a straightforward business, and we like keeping it that way without any unnecessary fluff or corporate talk. We just get the job done and go home when the sun sets over the buildings.
