Saregama Pan Center

Saregama Pan Center is found at Parvat Sai Chowk in Sainathnagar A 1. It is a lively spot with a lot of people moving around at all hours. We have our little shop right in the middle of all the noise. The name is painted on the front, though the paint is peeling a little at the edges now. We keep all our supplies in plastic bins and glass jars on the shelves. The smell of the sweet chutneys is quite strong when you walk up to the counter. We are open until late at night because that is when people in Sainathnagar are out and about. We have a small radio that plays music, mostly old songs from the movies. It helps pass the time when things are slow. The counter is always a bit cluttered with leaves and containers. We try to keep it clean but it is hard when you are making pans quickly for a line of people. Folks come here after their dinner for a sweet treat. We talk about local things, like the price of vegetables or who is getting married in the neighborhood. It is a friendly place. We do not have much room for fancy decorations. Just the essentials for making a good pan. The lights are a bit dim but we know where everything is by touch. It is our small business and we have been here at the chowk for a good few years now. We like being part of the community.
