Rajhans Sarees

I've been at 618 Upper Ground on Sushila Road for a while now. Finding this spot on the 1st Cross of Doddamavalli Ring Road was a lucky break because people pass by all the time. It’s not a huge place, but Rajhans Sarees has enough room for what we do. Most days start early, around nine or ten, just opening the shutters and cleaning the glass. You can hear the traffic from the Ring Road pretty clearly from the front door. We keep the sarees folded on the shelves, and sometimes the piles get a bit messy when we’re busy showing things to neighbors who stop in. It’s mostly just us here, making sure everything is in order. My family helps out when things get crowded on the weekends. Sometimes the lights in this building flicker a bit, but we’re used to it. The 1st Cross is a busy little stretch, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. I spend a lot of time sitting at the small desk near the back, checking the stock or just chatting with whoever walks through the door. It’s just a normal shop in a normal part of town. We don’t have fancy displays, just the racks and some old chairs for people to sit on while they look around. Usually, I’m the one you’ll see if you come by. It’s been here long enough that most of the local tea sellers know exactly how I like my chai.
