Anand Dosa Bite

If you go down into the basement of M D Tower on Varachha Road, you will find us at Anand Dosa Bite. Being in a basement means we do not have a lot of sunlight, but it stays busy because of the Mini Bazar right here. Surat is a city that loves its food, and we are right in the middle of all that action. The Varachha area is always packed with people shopping for clothes or jewelry, and eventually, they get hungry and find their way down the stairs to us. We spend our mornings chopping vegetables and getting the batter ready. It is a small space, so things can get a bit tight when the lunch rush starts. You can hear the scrapers on the tawa all day long. We do not have much in the way of decoration, just some tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. It is mostly about the work. The air gets a bit humid from the steam, but nobody seems to mind much. We see a lot of families on the weekends and shop owners during the week. It is a simple routine we have here. We open up, get the heat going, and start serving whoever walks in. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and the neighborhood knows where we are. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can hear it through the walls, but that is just Surat.
