Laxmi Pan

At Laxmi Pan, we are right by Ambegaon Gate 1 in Pandesara. It is a very industrial area, so there is always dust and trucks moving around the gate. Our shop is just a small shack really. We keep the doors open all day to catch whatever breeze comes through the road. It gets very hot in the summer months inside here. We have the usual things, different types of pan and some cigarettes for the workers. The counter is made of wood and it is stained from the different ingredients we use every day. We do not have a lot of space for people to stand inside the shop. Most customers just lean against the wall outside and talk for a bit while they eat. We know most of the drivers who pass through the gate. They stop for a quick bite and a drink of water from our jar. The floor is just concrete and it has seen better days. We do not have any fancy marketing or posters on the walls. Just a simple board with the name Laxmi Pan. It is a bit faded from the sun hitting it. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the next shift change at the factories nearby. That is when it gets really busy for us. Sometimes we get tired of the noise from the trucks, but you get used to it after a while. It is just part of being in Pandesara. We do our best to have everything ready for the crowd.
