Goras Restaurant

Goras Restaurant is located at Plot No 61 inside the Silicon Shoppers building on Udhna Main Road. This part of Surat is always moving, especially with all the shops nearby. We are right opposite Satyanagar, so there are always people walking past the windows. The restaurant is on a busy floor and it gets quite cramped when the shoppers come in for a break. We have simple wooden chairs and tables that are pushed close together to fit as many people as possible. It’s often loud inside because of the echo from the tiled floors and the sound of the traffic outside on the main road. The kitchen is tucked away in the back and it stays hot all day long. We don't have a big team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from taking orders to cleaning up the spills. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when the door keeps opening and closing all day. We see a lot of families on the weekends who are out doing their shopping at Silicon Shoppers. They usually just want a cold drink and a quick meal. We don't do anything fancy with the presentation; the food just comes out on basic plates as soon as it's ready. By the time the shops start closing up for the night, we are usually pretty tired and ready to head home ourselves. We count the registers and turn off the big lights before heading out.
